RAISE-A-STINK

UPDATE as of Aug 27th

Mother Nature had other plans for our Raise-A-Stink event. At the last minute it was cancelled due to a rain storm. The only entertainment was the trailer hauling ‘Betsy’ got stuck in the mud. She was returned safely to the barn after her exciting afternoon. Tickets will be drawn at our Tuesday’s meeting to determine the winners.

Pls stay tuned…..

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, August 27th, 2014 7:30 AM

The following were randomly drawn via website Random.com at the Bolingbrook Rotary meeting Tuesday, August 26th, 2014.

Raise-A-Stink Winners and Numbers:

1st Place-$1,000 winner: #1748  - Rick Mace

2nd Place-$500 winner: #209 – Debbie Klippel

3rd Place-$250 winner: #2326 - Anna Shin

Our FUN fundraiser is rather unique and is affectionately referred to as ‘Raise-A-Stink’. It starts with a Cow Pasture located next to Pelican Harbor Aquatic Park, 200 South Lindsay Lane, Bolingbrook, IL.

The pasture is surveyed into 2 foot square patches of land and each patch is sold as a Property Lease for a donation of $5. At the park district’s ‘Summer’s Last Blast’, Saturday August 23rd, a cow will visit the pasture for a leisurely 'walk'. The owners who are leasing the patches of land where the cow ‘Raises-A-Stink’ will be the winners, 1st place $1,000, 2nd place $500, and 3rd place $250.

Areas will be determined by random drawing on the day of the 'walk'. Numbers will be drawn and will correspond to each leased area. In the event more than one leased area is involved a panel of judges will determine the winners.

This is the Bolingbrook Rotary Club’s annual major Fund Raiser. The majority of the proceeds are returned to the community in the form of Bolingbrook High School Scholarships. In our 40 year history our Club has awarded $800,000+ in scholarships.

Please purchase your leases now and join us at PELICAN HARBOR for an enjoyable day of Family Fun, Saturday August 23rd, 3:00 PM.
